Yeah, I just discovered another way to hide that crap. Maybe everybody knows this but I'll share the method anyway.

I'm not sure if this is allowed but this is handy to those who have plus accounts and/or people who simply don't like ads that mess up their layouts and don't want to pay for a paid account, etc!
This site directs you on how to remove lj ads by downloading the Stylish add on for Firefox. Other browsers might provide this "hack" as shown on the site
